I'm watching The View and have come to the conclusion that someone really needs to remove the stick from Elizabeth's ass.
I swear to gawd she makes my very proper southern grandmother seem like a slut. Elizabeth is WAY too old for her age. I liked her on Survivor, but then again she was fairly quiet.
On The View, mannnnnn she shows her staunch right wing conservative nature.
Today's program is focusing on Libido and I keep expecting Elizabeth to get a case of the vapors, or to sniff haughtily and declare that anyone who "does it" with the lights on or, heaven forbid, in a position other than missionary, is demented or perverted and bound to go straight to hell.
But then again, I'm
Having a rough day here. Was up and down a couple of times last night, running for the bathroom.
No, I didn't eat a whole package of my cherished Cheddar Sausages.
It was a burger from Sonic that I think is kicking my ummmmm stomach?
I had to explain last night to Kimo that sometimes when you hurt someone, even accidentally, and you apologize, sometimes that apology isn't accepted right off the bat. Sometimes you just have to give that person space and let them deal with their hurt and their issues, then they'll come around.
He hurt Gomez. He meant to hit him, but he didn't mean to hurt him like he did. They were bickering, as usual and Kimo lashed out ... he felt badly about it and apologized. Then he was bewildered when Gomez withdrew and stayed that way for a while.
He came to me and said "But Mom, I said I was sorry! Why won't he play with me?"
I had to explain that just saying "I'm sorry" doesn't make the pain go away and that sometimes it takes time. I reminded him of the times that he got hurt by Gomez and when Gomez apologized it didn't make everything all rosy immediately.
Welcome to life's lesson #289, son.
Sure enough, this morning all was forgiven and they were laughing and carrying on just like nothing had happened. In fact, the incident wasn't even mentioned, and I doubt it will be.
*sniff*
My babies are growing up.
